Where EcoGuard Targets

  1. Foundation – Ground bugs and pests will use foundation cracks and gaps to gain access into your home, so an exterior pesticide application is a good way to lay down a preventative barrier to keep bugs out.
  2. Eaves – Eaves are the perfect place for certain flying insects like wasps and hornets to make a nest. These areas will be inspected for any pests or potential access points that may allow pests inside.
  3. Perimeter – Pests must make there way onto your property before they can take shelter in your yard and home. Treating the perimeter of your property is critical in maintaining a pest free property.
  4. Pathways - Pests frequently use pathways and sidewalks as a thoroughfare to your home. Treating these areas stops a primary route into your property.
  5. Yard – A home’s well maintained and lush landscaping provides ample shelter, food, and moisture for most pests. Keeping your yard well maintained and treated is the first line of defense between pests and your home.
  6. Interior – Residences provide shelter, food, and water so the final treatment areas will be found inside where pests are likely to make their home.

Seasonal Pest Control for Your Home

At EcoGuard we tailor our treatment plans to address your specific pest control needs. Each season also brings new challenges and pest threats, but our team has the experience necessary to pivot pest management strategies to accommodate changes in seasonality. Our seasonal maintenance program maintains a protective barrier around your home to prevent these unwelcome guests and our ongoing services will ensure that your home stays pest free all year round.

EcoGuard Pest Free Process

Each one of our services is uniquely designed for your property.

Step 1: Inspection – EcoGuard offers a full inspection to identify any signs of pest activity. This evaluation determines where the pests may be coming from and what may be causing the pest problem.

Step 2: Treatment – Once the problem is identified, EcoGuard implements a custom integrated pest management plan that uses a multi-faceted approach to stop pests and then prevent further issues. We will also instruct businesses on how to minimize the potential of a recurring pest problem.

Step 3: Exclusion – After the pests are eradicated, exclusion tactics will be implemented to seal any gaps and block any unnecessary openings to help keep pests from reentering your home.

Step 4: Maintain – Once initial treatment is completed, services will continue to ensure that any remaining pests are eliminated as well as continue to provide preventative support.

Wasp Control – These stinging insects are not only a nuisance, they are also a potential threat. They are aggressive and territorial when it comes to their nest. They can attack without cause, and they deliver a painful sting which can be problematic if several wasps swarm a target.

Spider Control – Most spiders are beneficial but even still they leave behind unsightly webs which can make a residence seem unclean. There are some species like black widows that pose a potential threat due to their venomous bite that should be treated against.

Mosquito Control – Mosquitoes are blood sucking insects that have the potential of carrying serious mosquito borne diseases. EcoGuard offers seasonal mosquito treatment plans designed to tackle mosquito populations when they are at their worst.

Residential Pest Control FAQs

  • How much is residential pest control?

The average cost of a residential pest control treatment will generally fall between $100 to $270 with the national average falling right around $170. Pricing for pest control services can fluctuate depending on several factors like treatment type and frequency of service. That said, EcoGuard prices competitively to provide the best value possible.

  • Are pest control services worth the money?

Residential pest control is well worth the investment when accounting for the effectiveness and efficiency of professional treatment. EcoGuard’s pest control technicians have years of experience combatting all pest types so we know what it takes and where to look which can save you time and headache.

  • How many hours do you need to stay out of your home after spraying for bugs?

EcoGuard uses green eco-friendly pesticides that are effective against bugs but safe for humans and pets so there is rarely any down time needed after spraying. Most interior services recommend that you are out of a home for 2-4 hours after treatment.

  • How often should you treat your home for bugs?

We recommend regular pest control treatments on a quarterly or bi-monthly basis to prevent pests. For more serious infestations, monthly treatments are recommended until the problem is resolved.

  • Why do I see more bugs after pest control treatments?

Bugs become move visible following treatments as they search for untreated areas to move to. This causes them to be more exposed and sometimes die out in the open as the treatment takes effect.

  • Does professional pest control use pest bombs or foggers found in stores?

No, professional pest control companies use state approved products that are only available to licensed pest control operators.

  • What should I expect if I request an interior treatment?

We offer 2 types of interior treatments.

    1) Limited- a limited treatment, is isolated to the area of concern, for specific pests, that may require some preparation on your part, such as clearing out cabinets, pantry, or other areas of concern. These treatments may not require you to leave the home, however it is always recommended.

    2) Complete- a complete treatment involves treating all baseboards of the home, as well as any other areas of concern. This sort of application would require leaving the home for 2-3 hours to allow the material to dry before re-entering the home.

Both of these treatments are generally done with a synthetic material, rather than organic, as the organic material is highly aromatic and can be overwhelming when applied inside. If this causes a concern, we can utilize baits, glue boards and other passive forms of treatment, however these methods do take longer to remedy the pests.
